Secrets to a Great Seminar Experience

  • Dress for the weather: On cold days, wear layers to accommodate indoor and outdoor activities for long periods. On hot days, bring sunscreen, liquids to drink, and a hat.
  • Some meals are provided during seminars. If you have special dietary or other needs, contact the Park to coordinate arrangements.
  • Keep in mind that the Park is a bit rustic; thus running water and flush toilets are not available. Expect to be “roughing it” just a bit. (There are plenty of drinks as well as hand sanitizer available.)
  • Cameras and video cameras are welcome and we also offer you the opportunity to purchase a CD of the weekend documenting your seminar experience. This is a wonderful solution to getting great photos without you missing all the action.
  • Long pants, closed-toed shoes, and shirts with (long or short) sleeves are REQUIRED to meet our animals. Be sure to bring or wear some. Outside of the wolf enclosure, shorts, etc., are fine.
  • Avoid wearing leather or fur clothing (clothing made of animal products smells like food to a wolf), or crinkly plastic rain gear (the wolves like to play with noisy or unusual clothing).
  • Bring pens and a notepad to take notes.
