Health and Safety Checklist:

Medical Emergencies – Contact any staff member or volunteer in an emergency or non-emergency situation. There is telephone service at the Park, and we have First Aid kits available.

Restrooms – We do not have full service public restrooms. We do have port-o-pottys, one of which is accessible. We have anti bacterial hand cleaner in the education building.

Food or Beverages – To protect the health and safety of our guests and animals, food is permitted at designated areas only. Please do not eat in front of, or feed, the animals. Drinks are welcome; bring your own, or we have a drinking fountain and a sode machine available.

Fences and Railings – Please do not touch or allow children to touch fences or railings. Wolves can reach through the fence, or push against the fence and bow it outward. These barriers are there for your protection and to protect the animals from the guests!

Trails – Our trails are gravel and can be uneven. Be sure to wear good sturdy walking shoes.

Hot Weather – On hot summer days, be sure to keep yourself hydrated. Wear sunscreen and/or a hat, and move slowly. We have some shade and benches, but our walking tours travel about 1/2 mile, and there are some stretches of full sun. Be prepared. All our buildings do have air conditioning when you need to cool down!

Cold Weather – On cold days, be sure to bundle up in layers. All of our buildings have heat for when you need to warm up.
