Celebration of Dogs
Location: Various, around the Park Date: In June Time: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm This event is always scheduled on Saturdays so that guests can come back in the evening for our Howl Night program. This event is a celebration of domestic dogs, the "wolves" living in our homes! Each year we include live demonstrations such as search and rescue, canine massage, enrichment interactions and creating healthy treats. Guest speakers also present brief talks about therapy dogs, history of the domestic dog, and differences between dogs and wolves. We sometimes have authors of dog books available, with copies of their books for preview. Booths featuring local rescue groups and shelters will be set up for guests to explore options of helping dogs in need. Please do not bring your pets to this event. |
